The Spirit Merchant
The Spirit Merchant 54-56 Regent Street
BT23 4LP
(028) 9182 4270 (T) (W)

What would appear to be a small premise on the main street is in fact quite substantial. Toilets on the upstairs (I did not notice a lift). The place gets very busy at nights so get food orders in early. It has the same theme as most of the other establishments and the beer is good.

The Moat Inn
The Moat Inn 102 Moat Street
BT21 0ED
(028) 9188 3297 (T) (W); (E)

Old fashioned small bar and seperate lounge/dining area. The bar has lots of pictures and a huge Conway's Whiskey mirror. Note the antique telephone with ring winder. Tiled floor, the walls are painted plaster as is the modern beamed ceiling. Wide stairs at the back lead to the large restaurant. Beer garden at the back. Serving cask ale.

Horatio Todd's
Horatio Todd's 406 Upper Newtownards Road
(028) 9065 3090 (T) (W)

A modern, large layout pub/restaurant with a car park to the rear via Eastleigh Drive. Large glassed frontage with french doors to the side, it is roomy and airy with some booths and restaurant to the rear which sports an impressive wall of wine. Cask ale is available.

Once part of the Horatio Group benefits for SPBWNI new members. Hopefully to come onboard again!

The Salty Dog
10-12 Seacliff Road
028 9127 0696 (T) (W) (E)

Originally two Victorian town houses, it has transformed over the years and is now a modern hotel/restaurant/bar boasting fine cuisine and drinks. It hosts a monthly "Meet the Brewer" night and is trialing "cask ale on the bar". Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
