Situated at the base of the old tower at the hotel, this bar is a must on a dark winter night. Sit in the inglenook next a roaring fire and talk about the ghost, known as the Lady Isabella Shaw, whose abode is only floors above your head. Dating from the mid 1600s and once a coastguard station it is now a popular spot for wedding venues and events.

Town centre pub with tiled floor, lots of old bottles, mirrors and a real fire. A big selection of whiskeys and liquors vie with the usual bric-a-brac. Decorative (but non functional - as in sawn in half!) wooden casks. Pool room and lounge to the rear. Check out the glass cabinet on the outside wall at the rear entrance.

An award winning restaurant and hotel of 21 rooms, it was built as a coaching inn around 1848 by the Marchioness of Londonderry. It was passed down through the family until Winston Churchill sold it in the late 1920s. Excellent stopover point when travelling the famous "Glens of Antrim".
Mary McBrides

One of the smallest pubs in Ireland (The Glass Jar, Belfast, was the smallest but it was razed to the ground in 2001) and once part of the National Trust it once measured 5ft x 9ft 6in. It has gone through a renovation that still leaves it with most of its charm. A great staging post to break the journey around the Glens of Antrim. Sadly the small public bar has now been opened into the main area and cannot be classified as "THE smallest bar".
